Ever since I can remember, I have always had the desire to make a difference in other people's lives. My truest joy comes from seeing the results of my hard work through smiles and tears of joy from the clients I have helped.

My love of details and design helps to create unique events for all of my clients. My traditionalist heart and my flair for the rich, colorful aspects of each event, keeps me going!

I began my event planning career during my time at Texas A&M University, where I gained a variety of wedding & event industry experience. Upon graduation from A&M, I moved to The Netherlands, serving on the board of an international organization, focusing my attention on fundraising events, shining awareness on global causes. My time in The Netherlands reinforced my passion for producing events that have the ability to positively impact people’s lives.

Some highlights of my event planning career have been planning a health & wellness festival in Downtown Bryan, Texas, supporting the Duke of Edinburgh's Awards Ceremony, and, of course, planning my own wedding in Lake Como, Italy.

I am thrilled to have returned to Houston and continue creating events that express the uniqueness of each of my clients. My eye for design, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure allows me to deliver unforgettable experiences for each of my clients, whether it be in Texas or beyond.

Planning is something I have always done. Whether it is planning a weekend with friends or my family's Christmas gathering, I am always the go to girl. When I learned I could take classes at Texas A&M in event planning, I was hooked. I was able to learn the backbone of event planning from weddings to festivals to corporate events. The best part is being able to apply my classroom knowledge to actual events.

My favorite part of planning weddings is actually getting to the Big Day. Being able to see all the hard work from those involved being played out is amazing. I love being able to see the Bride and Groom's reaction to first seeing their ceremony space and their cakes. I enjoy playing a small part in the Bride and Groom's Big Day because it is a moment they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Favorite Food:  Sushi...or tacos!
Favorite Color: Pink
Favorite Season: Fall because that means football season is starting
Favorite Starbucks drink:  Iced Cold Brew Coffee
Favorite Sports team (collegiate or pro): Texas A&M Aggies (WHOOP!)
Favorite Vacation destination: The Bahamas

I have been planning parties, weddings and other events for friends and family in Illinois for the past 10 years.  This was always a side job but I knew that it was my true passion.  In the summer of 2016 my husband and I moved from Illinois to the Houston area to escape the brutal Illinois winters.  About 2 weeks after moving here, I met Sarah and the rest is history!

I come from a huge Greek family so I’ve spent my life having big parties and corralling a large group of people to get things done.  The years I spent doing this in Illinois really came in handy when I was obsessing over details for my own wedding that I planned from 1,000 miles away.

I love playing a part in a couple’s big day, hearing their story, and making their vision come to life.  I have two favorite parts of weddings: sending the bride down the aisle and seeing the expression on the groom’s face and of course, making sure everyone has a great time at the reception!

Favorite Food:  Greek
Favorite Color: Black and Purple
Favorite Season: Spring and Summer, really anytime it’s not cold
Favorite Starbucks drink:  Did someone say caffeine?
Favorite Sports team (collegiate or pro): Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Cubs
Favorite Vacation destination: Anywhere with white sand and blue water

Assistant Event Planner

For a long time, I have enjoyed bringing people together by helping to plan birthday, anniversary, or holiday parties for my friends and family as well as get-togethers for my coworkers.

I started school at the University of Houston's Conrad N. Hilton College in 2017, and after learning that you could make an entire career out of what I had already been doing on a smaller scale for fun, I knew event planning was what I wanted to focus on.

I am currently in my senior year and serving as the VP of Membership for the National Association for Catering and Event's Houston student chapter. I am eager to apply what I have learned in school, my organizational skills, and my ability to work well under pressure as an intern here at Events by Sarah!
